Podcast – Google Project Fi (Video)

In this podcast, I talk about Google Project Fi helping separate the good information that has come out from the bad information that is also there.

Google Project Fi is a MVNO to a new level. Instead of being limited to a single cell phone carrier, Google is leveraging Sprint, T-Mobile and open wifi.

Google has been criticized with only supporting the Nexus 6. Remember that the Nexus 6 is Google’s reference phone. Once they have it up and running with that phone, I think you will find other phones being used.

The service will bill using Google Wallet service. Unlimited voice/data for $20, $10 per 1 GB of data. You will get a refund for what data you don’t use during the month.

If you have a Nexus 6, you will have the option of purchasing a Nexus 6 when you get your invite or you can pay for it over 24 months at no interest.

You have to use a gmail.com address to apply for an invite. If you dont have one, take 30 seconds and set one up so you can request an invite. If you arent already using Google Wallet, download the app and get ready for that to.

I have requested my invite and look to receive it soon. I will do another video once I get my invite, order the phone and start using the service. Please visit my website at http://www.ronnutter.com.
